These brief histories reflect on lived experiences, cultural transitions and the social realities that inform contemporary migration. By connecting the historical past with the present, they prompt empathic engagement and understanding — and open up dialogue for communities to build and practise stronger relationships.

Stories are chosen for their cultural, historical or social significance — timely, relevant, and reflecting the variety of voices and perspectives we want included.

Can people or communities share their own stories?

Absolutely. Dialogue Fosters supports individuals, schools and communities to submit their own stories, or to collaborate with us on them.

Are the stories based on actual events?

Yes. All stories come from lived experiences, shared with permission and treated respectfully to represent real journeys.
